Cybersecurity & Managed IT Services Courses
CyberLearning partners with schools, districts, workforce programs, and adult learners to deliver industry-recognized training in cybersecurity and managed IT services (MSP/MITS). Below are five of the most in-demand certifications we support — each pairs self-paced online coursework with practice exams and optional mentor check-ins. To enroll or request district pricing, use our contact form.
1. CompTIA Security+ (SY0-701)
Security+ is the baseline certification for anyone entering cybersecurity. The course covers threats and vulnerabilities, identity and access management, network security, risk management, and incident response. It is the most-requested cert in entry-level SOC analyst, junior penetration tester, and IT auditor job listings, and is approved under the U.S. Department of Defense 8570/8140 directive. Learners who pass Security+ typically qualify for roles paying $65K–$85K. Our program includes 40+ hours of video instruction, hands-on lab access, and two full-length practice exams.
Duration: ~8 weeks self-paced | Exam cost: covered by scholarship for eligible learners | View course page →
2. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Issued by (ISC)², CISSP is the senior-level certification that cybersecurity managers, security architects, and CISOs are expected to hold. It covers eight domains including security and risk management, asset security, security architecture, software development security, and security operations. CISSP holders average $120K+ in total compensation and the credential is a hiring prerequisite at most Fortune 500 security teams and federal contractors. Our prep program is built for learners who already have 3–5 years of IT experience and combines deep-dive content with scenario-based practice questions aligned to the current CISSP CAT exam format.
Duration: ~12 weeks | Prerequisite: 5 years cumulative security experience | View course page →
3. Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH v13)
The EC-Council CEH credential validates offensive security skills — reconnaissance, scanning, gaining access, maintaining access, and covering tracks — using the same tools and techniques real attackers use, but for lawful defensive purposes. Version 13 adds AI-driven testing workflows. CEH is recognized under DoD 8570 for roles like Cyber Network Defender, Cyber Incident Responder, and penetration tester. Our track includes sandboxed lab environments so learners can practice exploiting vulnerable targets safely, plus guided walkthroughs of OWASP Top 10 attacks.
Duration: ~10 weeks | Best for: Mid-career IT pros moving into offensive security | View course page →
4. CompTIA Network+ (N10-009)
Network+ is the foundation credential for managed IT services technicians and network administrators — the people who keep business networks running for MSP clients. The course covers network architecture, cabling and wireless, routing and switching concepts, network operations, security basics, and troubleshooting methodology. It is vendor-neutral, so the knowledge transfers across Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, and other stacks. MSP helpdesk and Tier-1 network engineer roles pay $55K–$75K; Network+ is often the cert that unlocks them. Our program includes Packet Tracer labs and a refresher module on IPv6, SD-WAN, and cloud-to-on-prem connectivity.
Duration: ~7 weeks | View course page →
5. ITIL 4 Foundation
ITIL 4 is the de facto framework for managed IT service delivery. This certification, issued by PeopleCert/AXELOS, teaches the service value chain, the four dimensions of service management, and the guiding principles MSPs use to run help desks, change management, incident response, and service-level reporting. It is the credential most asked for on MSP job postings for service desk managers, delivery managers, and client success engineers. The Foundation exam is one of the most accessible IT certifications — no prerequisites, ~60-question multiple choice — and pairs naturally with Security+ or Network+ for a well-rounded MSP skillset.
Duration: ~4 weeks | Prerequisite: None | View course page →
Bundled Tracks for Districts & Workforce Programs
Districts and workforce boards often license these courses as bundled career pathways. Common bundles include a Managed IT Services Technician pathway (Network+ → Security+ → ITIL 4) and a Cybersecurity Analyst pathway (Security+ → CEH → CISSP prep). Grant funding may be available through our grants programs for eligible districts, adult-education providers, and workforce initiatives.
